What Makes the Skydive Paraclete XP Skydiving School Great?

Skydiving schools aren’t all created equal. Skydiving schools can vary drastically in the training approach that they take, the quality of instruction, and, naturally, the reputation that they have. If you are aiming to finally start flying solo, why would you go with anything less than the best?

At Skydive Paraclete XP we take a unique, comprehensive approach to the skydiving student progression. So much so, that we offer a professionally designed program, the Paraclete Student Program, that cannot be found anywhere else. Here’s what makes the Skydive Paraclete XP Skydiving School great:

A Simulated Freefall Experience Before Ever Taking Flight

The typical skydiving school progression begins with a 4-6 hour ground school followed by your first solo skydive–a jump from an aircraft accompanied by two instructors. This method is tried and true and has been used since civilian skydiving took off. But, what if there was a better way?

To set our skydiving school apart and to improve the effectiveness of our training, we have included flight time in our wind tunnel prior to an individual’s first skydive. In the Paraclete Student Program, we still require a 5-6 hour ground school. However, before taking what s/he has learned to the sky, our students first spend time flying in the indoor wind tunnel. Located just down the road from the dropzone, the wind tunnel gives students the opportunity to first fly in a secure, contained environment.

Because the pressure of performance is reduced, students have the chance to practice in an environment that is more accommodating to mistakes. The wind tunnel is a priceless skydiving school tool, and at this time, we are the only skydiving school on the east coast that is able to offer this experience to our students.

Comprehensive Skydiving Progression

Some skydiving schools leave a lot to be desired. The programs offered at many dropzones cover the bare minimum (and sometimes not even that). This leaves students unsure of how to complete their skydiving progression and receive their USPA A license. One of the things that makes the Skydive Paraclete XP Skydiving School so unique is that throughout the 18 level skydiving course, our students cover all requirements* to receive the USPA A License.

The program has a lot to offer: seminars, skill camps, exclusive wind tunnel membership options, and a mentor program. As a result of our thorough skydiving training, we can confidently say that we produce some of the best skydiving students in the world.

*Students will need to complete solo skydives after graduation to reach the required 25 jumps for a USPA A license.

Student Safety Is Our Number One Priority

While we do offer a program that can put you on an expedited track to licensure, safety is our first priority.

The Paraclete Student Program is a staged program that emphasizes student safety. We begin with simplicity and a focus on the essentials. From the very start and throughout the entirety of their progression, students are required to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of their emergency procedures. Within our program, students will only progress to the next level once they have learned and demonstrated the associated skills of their current level.

Video Debriefs Of Each Jump

Video is an incredibly useful tool for students and experienced jumpers alike. While a student, skydives can be a bit overwhelming, and it can be tough to remember exactly what happened much less being able to recall that your leg position was a little too relaxed.

Video debriefs are an essential component to an efficient student program and are crucial to identifying and reviewing body position during the exit and freefall portion of the skydive. On each of your student jumps throughout the Paraclete Student Program, your instructor will wear a camera and go through a video debrief of each completed level. We also provide a flash drive so that our students can take their videos home for further review (or to show off to their friends) if they choose.

Best Mentors Around

A skydiving school can only be as good as its instructors, and boy are we lucky! Skydive Paraclete XP attracts some of the best skydivers in the world, and some of these athletes are also Skydive Paraclete XP instructors. Many of the skydiving instructors you will work with throughout your progression have been a part of countless world records, are international skydiving champions, and have turned their passion for skydiving into a full fledged career. Most important of all, though, is that our instructors love sharing this amazing sport with their students.

Doorway To A Whole New World

The skydiving school at Skydive Paraclete XP is just the beginning. With our help and your dedication, at the end of your progression, you will be the proud recipient of the USPA A License. There are dropzones located all over the world, and your A license serves as your passport to them all. With this documentation in hand, the world is your oyster. So, once you get your A license, where will you go?

As a member of the Canadian National 8-way skydiving team, we have trained at many DZs over the years. By far, we have never been treated as well at any other drop zone in the world. This is our new go to DZ. Cannot say enough good things about this operation!!!
