Solo Skydiving: The Greatest Adventure

There is a reason this quote is a staple amongst aviation enthusiasts, paragliders, BASE jumpers, hang gliders and skydivers:

Something unexplainably shifts within you once you’ve made that first skydive. Everything you’ve grown up to know that was dangerous or impossible seems to fade away and the boundaries of life are lifted. Join us as we discover more about solo skydiving, the greatest adventure!

TRANSITION FROM TANDEM TO SOLO

At Skydive Paraclete XP, we do not require a tandem skydive before entering the solo program. However, many do. Why? It allows for someone to experience the whole part of skydiving so when jumping solo it is not overwhelming.

The next step would be to sign up for the Paraclete Student Program (PSP) Stage 1: Ground Training. The Ground Training is a comprehensive, 4-6 hour course that covers the basics of the equipment used, freefall and canopy skills, as well as emergency procedures.

THE GREATEST ADVENTURE STARTS HERE: THE PSP PROGRAM

The national organization, the United States Parachute Association, gives certain guidelines in what to provide for student training — usually the basics. The PSP Program is designed to be more comprehensive to help create more competent and confident skydivers.

The course includes 18 levels and all the objectives USPA requires for the first basic “A” License. The program is designed to cover the basic skills AND to help new skydivers to become well-rounded by offering continuing education. Skydive Paraclete XP hosts interactive seminars, offers networking opportunities, utilizes camps to teach the many disciplines, and wind tunnel memberships at Paraclete XP SkyVenture – all great tools to progress your skydiving skills!
